What were you doing before the course?
Before doing this course I was finishing a Batchelor degree back in Holland.

What motivated you to do the course now?
During an internship in the accounts department at Saatchi & Saatchi Amsterdam I realised that I wanted to be more than a cog in the wheel. I wanted to design things and be part of the creative team. One of my colleagues had just returned from doing the Shillington course in Brisbane. Everyone was so surprised by all the skills & capabilities he had built up in three months. I knew then that I wanted to do the course.

Have you had any previous graphic design experience?
Before the course I had never used InDesign or Photoshop whatsoever. I am really surprised by how quickly we are learning to work with the programs.

What do you like about the course?
I really like the combination of learning the theoretical side of graphic design and then putting the knowledge into practise straight away.
