What were you doing before the course?
I graduated from university in fashion journalism in 2010 and since then I have been working in fashion retail.

What motivated you to do this course now?
In the final part of my degree, I realised that I enjoyed doing the layouts of my articles much more than writing. So, since graduating, I have pursued graphics by doing magazine internships but I felt I needed more knowledge and skills to get further.

Have you had any previous graphic design experience?
A bit at university with Photoshop and InDesign, along with internships. Since being at Shillington I have definitely progressed and at a quicker pace than I expected. My designs are much tighter and I have already learnt so much more on InDesign than I previously knew, along with the principles of good design.

What do you like about the course?
The pace is fast and keeps you interested throughout. The environment is relaxed and friendly.
