In 1989, college director Andrew Shillington founded Shillington Graphics, the studio that preceded Shillington College. As an employer, Andrew aimed to hire talented design graduates from the existing educational institutions but found it increasingly difficult to find suitable candidates - those with high-end computer skills and the ability to create quality design while meeting unreasonable deadlines. It became apparent that students leaving the available colleges and universities were not adequately trained in today's world of computers and high technology. And so Shillington College was born.
The college's success is evident in the number of graduates attaining high quality employment in the design industry. Shillington College runs fully accredited computer graphic design courses in Australia and England UK. The emphasis is on training employable designers who have total confidence in their ability to take a brief, use the programs and meet a tight deadline.
